Jackie Ye

Jianhuai (Jackie) Ye is currently a postdoctoral fellow in Martin Group (2017-). His main research interests focus on the characterization of volatile and semi-volatile organic compounds in Amazonia using drone-based chemical sensing. Prior to Harvard, Jackie obtained his Ph.D. degree from University of Toronto, Canada (2013-2017), with focuses on the biogenic-anthropogenic interactions in secondary organic aerosol (SOA) formation and the health effects of atmospheric organic aerosol. During his Ph.D., Jackie developed an empirical framework using Hansen Solubility Parameters to predict SOA enhancements and aerosol miscibility based on the intermolecular interactions of organic aerosol. He also worked on the development of an atmospheric simulation reactor that permits controlled chronic in vivo mice exposure to particulate and gaseous pollutants.
