Yuanzhi Tang was a postdoctoral fellow (2008-2010). She holds undergraduate degrees in Geology and Economics from Peking University, China. She earned a Ph.D. degree in Environmental Geochemistry at Stony Brook University. She continued in the microbiology group of Prof. Colleen Hansel. She is now a professor in the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, Georgia Institute of Technology.
